Yegor needs your help!
Yegor is two years old. He is a sweet and cheerful little boy. In his eyes you can see a desire to live and explore the world around him. Unfortunately, Yegor cannot move around, he doesn't talk, and has poor eyesight... Within his short life-time he’s been diagnosed with infantile cerebral paralysis, language delay, oculomotor disturbances, epileptic syndrome with frequent daily polymorphic seizures. But his family believes and knows that Yegor has great potential, and they have found a way to help him get better.
After multiple treatment courses in the hospitals of Minsk and Kiev have proven useless (traditional methods only caused more fits of seizures), Yegor’s parents started to look for every opportunity to help their boy.
There is an Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia (http://www.iahp.org/Program-V-The-Aspirant-Program.69.0.html) that has been studying child development for over 55 years. The Institute staff have developed unique methods aimed at restoring the practically lost functions for children with all sorts of brain damage. According to them every child has a chance, and multiple success stories support this belief.
Yegor’s parents tried to apply the Institute’s program to their son and have seen amazing progress: the baby learned to hold his head, started crawling up to toys and finally looked his mother in the eyes. Yegor is really trying to get better and his whole family is working hard to help him!
In June Yegor’s mother, Katherina Stankevich, is going to attend the first training seminar in Philadelphia where they teach parents how to work with their children. Afterwards the Institute is inviting Yegor for a thorough examination. As a result, an intensive rehabilitation program will be developed to wake up the boy’s sleeping brain. Every 6 months the program will be corrected based on intermediate results of the rehabilitation. Within 2 years most of the worst case patients (helpless from the point of view of traditional medicine) begin to move around independently. Their eyesight and hearing are restored. Children learn to read, begin to study foreign languages, and a lot of them get rid of seizures altogether.
The cost of the initial examination and consultation for Yegor at the Institute in Philadelphia is 3500 USD (including drugs); the travel cost is 2000 USD, and another 1000 USD is needed for living expenses. Thus, the whole trip will cost 6500 USD. The Stankeviches do not have this much money: currently the father is the only breadwinner, while the mother is on maternity leave. There is another little boy in the family, Kirusha, born in 2005.
Yegor’s family is appealing to everyone who cares for help in raising money for the boy's treatment. The sooner the treatment is started, the more chances Yegor has to become a healthy boy.
We will be extremely grateful to all of those who can help!
